Warm cold dark light ~ This is the solo project and vision of Laura Pleasants previously known for her work with the indie metal / psych rock band KYLESA. Fresh out of the studio with producer JASON CORBETT of the band ACTORS, Laura takes her love and roots of New Wave, Post-Punk, and Goth to the forefront with The Discussion for 2024. You can hear her pulling from the likes of Siouxsie and the Banshees, Blondie, The Cure and Asylum Party while weaving in elements of Kraut Rock classics such as Neu! and Harmonia, and Shoegaze heroes My Bloody Valentine, Loop and Slowdive. Starting with “In The Mirror”, The Discussion will release a waterfall of singles before hitting the road hard in 2025. The band is based in Los Angeles.
