Sweet Spine has become the talk of their scene in the Carolinas. Adrift from the major metropolitan areas, cities like Asheville’s staunch DIY networks have given the band the launchpad they’ve needed to build their notorious live stage presence and begin harboring intimate fan connection. They never wanted to be known as a local band, going big time on their own terms was always the goal. Sweet Spine always had aimed to carve out their own scene. Initially the band members waited tables, worked in factories, and finished school to help fund the band. Throughout the year of 2023, the band released four break out singles, garnering the likes of millions. The band recalls it as an intimidating time, as within months, hundreds of thousands of people were listening. This meteoric push instilled an unwavering devotion in the band. It gave them the hope to realize their dream could come to fruition.
Fast forward a year from then, as a result of incredible dedication to their brand and craft, their album “break//neck” arrives. It is an album that leads with intention, but embraces a broad range of ideas. It’s devoutly eclectic, it’s hung together by an emotional truth, and a profound sense of unity.

sodistilled
sodistilled is a modern voice in alternative rock, fusing dreamy vocals with heavy guitars and
distortion to craft a sound that feels both fresh and nostalgic. At its core, his music is about
purity—not in the traditional sense, but as a rebellion against external noise, self-doubt, and
inauthenticity. His message is simple: embrace new beginnings, trust your instincts, and never
forget your why.
His journey started in high school during the COVID-19 pandemic, experimenting with trap
beats and emo rap inspired by Juice WRLD and Lil Peep. But rock was always in his DNA. His
grandfather, a saxophone player, and his mom, who introduced him to My Chemical Romance
after winning concert tickets, unknowingly set the foundation for his genre-blending sound. Now,
sodistilled channels those influences into a sound that is as raw as it is refined—where
storytelling meets distortion, and emotion bleeds into every note.
In December, sodistilled dropped his second EP, purity killed me, a defining statement of his
evolution. With each release, he sharpens his vision, pushing the boundaries of alternative rock
while forging a deeper connection with his audience. This isn’t just music—it’s a movement, a
