Looom
Engaging the space between the light-hearted and viscerally heavy, Looom hits like a back-handed compliment, or a joke you only get several years after hearing it. The stark juxtaposition of soothing melodies and explosive volume is a staple of Looom’s sound.
Formed in 2023 by Boise locals Alex Gamble, Anden Flores, and Joe Cole, the style wide-ranging, but discernably exists in conversation with the broader Boise music scene which inspired it. The group is influenced in equal measure by artists like Helmet, Frank Zappa, System of a Down, Steve Vai, and Fidlar.
