Hailing from the New York burbs, Ben Beal is a versatile lyricist and hip-hop artist who showcases his talent across multiple styles of production, from the laid-back vibes of Lo-Fi to the hard-hitting beats of 808-infused trap. Starting out his musical journey by digging through dusty old jazz records in the bargain bin, Beal found his muse in the crackle and pop of those forgotten gems, transforming them into hip-hop gold.
Not only has he collaborated on songs with names such as Mick Jenkins, sophie meiers, and atlas, but he continues to work with some of the most unique producers around the globe including SwuM, FloFilz, Wun Two, Biskwiq, and Beatboxbandit. He recently graduated from the University of Maryland where he recorded and performed at various locations across the DMV. Beal has performed with A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, MadeinTYO, 24hrs, PnB Rock, and many more in Maryland and Washington DC.
Delivery Boys
Meet “Delivery Boys,” Brooklyn’s waviest alternative rap group, established in 2015
by founding members Max Gertler and Goldwood. The duo, originally started as
delivery boys for local delis, formed the collective fueled by their shared love for
hip-hop and the vibrant cultural melting pot of New York. Daily gatherings,
cyphers and shared music interests laid the groundwork for their initial recordings
and releases.
The collective expanded the following year with the addition of members YGB and
LOSTBOYBK, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Delivery Boys. Their
debut project, “DI$NEY,” released by Goldwood and Max Gertler, marked their first
significant step into the music scene. The group carried their momentum with the
release of their single “Pissed Off,” featuring Rich the Kid, which became a
massive hit, peaking at #2 on HotNewHipHop in August 2017 and garnering over 1
million streams across platforms. This track’s success catapulted them into the
spotlight, earning them a place among Pigeons and Planes’ best new artists
(2017).
In 2019, the group released a collaborative EP with Y2K titled “30 Minutes or
Less,” further showcasing their versatility and collaborative spirit. Their debut full-
length album, “Tandem,” arrived in 2020, featuring standout singles like “YGB
Rapping All Fast” and “Batman.” The journey continued with “DI$NEY 2” in 2021,
followed by “Confused by Computers” in 2022, each project unveiling new layers
to their sound and storytelling.
Delivery Boys are celebrated for their electrifying live performances, they’re
fearless genre experimentation, and their knack for innovation. Their music weaves
together diverse styles into a cohesive sound, a testament to their creativity and
close-knit bond. Through their work, they narrate the story of friends who have
grown into a family, united by their passion for hip-hop, offering listeners a vibrant
and exhilarating musical journey.
Aaron Veal
After refining his craft in back alley cyphers and underground circles for nearly 10 years, Brooklyn’s own Aaron Veal started releasing music at the end of 2022. Defined by his Innate lyrical ability, mesmerizing metaphors, and ear for choosing the right production to bless with his benevolent bars, the possibilities are exponential, and unforeseeable when he assembles a record. A true student of music, his background as a metal and jazz drummer awards him the flexibility to impart many different flows to his records, and even occasionally rap in odd time signatures. His debut single “Pagliacci” marked the beginning of a new era of his music including a much more personal touch, and a concentrated attention to detail. He followed it up with similar singles “Benefactor” and “Celleno” the latter being a collaborative effort with Producer SpookyStack that they created while on vacation in the Italian countryside. There’s no telling what’s on the horizon for this talented young emcee, but rest assured knowing that whatever comes next will be relentlessly locked in.
