Join us for a costume party, vintage fashion show + book signing in celebration of the works of Alfred Hitchcock through film and architecture
Preservation Idaho presents ‘The Architecture of Suspense’ featuring Christine Madrid French at the Shrine Social Club (formerly known as the El Korah Shrine) in the heart of downtown Boise.
Join us for our fundraising event, an entertaining affair and costume party where we will celebrate the works of Alfred Hitchcock through film and architecture. Delve into the allure of Hitchcock-era fashion with a vintage fashion show, an enlightening presentation by Christine Madrid French revealing the history behind your beloved film structures, a book signing event for book enthusiasts to have their copies signed, and music by KFFI 103.1 Tropico FM. Indulge in complimentary hors d’oeuvres and the no-host bar while adorned in 1940s – 60s attire, adding a nostalgic touch to the festivities!
This is a fundraising event for Preservation Idaho, we will have a raffle and best costume, along with prizes.

Where: Shrine Social Club (El Korah Shrine) 1118 W Idaho St. Boise
When: Saturday, November 11, 2023
Time: 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. (doors open @ 5 p.m. Note: the schedule is subject to change)
5:00 p.m.: Doors open + no host drinks
5:30 – 6:30 p.m.: Docent led tours of the building
5:30 – 8:00 p.m.: Complimentary hors d’oeuvres + no host drinks + book signing
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Raffle fundraiser
6:30 p.m.: Fashion show of period 1940’s – 1960’s attire
7:00 p.m.: Presentation by Christine Madrid French + Q & A
7:45 p.m.: Raffle drawing after presentation + best costume
8:00 p.m.: Event ends
Cost:
$55 per person for current Preservation Idaho members
$60 for non-members
Tickets: Online credit card processing fees apply. TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE. Tickets for this event will not be issued. Rather, your name(s) will be on a list at event check-in.

Note: Paid street parking is available for guests, and an elevator is accessible inside the building for your convenience.
