Sun Child is a dream folk project created by multi instrumentalist and songwriter Brooke Garwood. Hailing from the eastern shores of Florida's first coast, Sun Child draws you into their world of dizzy nostalgia, painting a sound that is both innately introspective and authentic.

Sun Child's first EP, Everything, was recorded by Patrick Taylor of Trash Panda in his home studio, and released in April of 2023. The project was well received by fans and streaming services, landing a placement on multiple Spotify editorial playlists like Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds Folk. The buzz created by this project gave opportunities for the band to play shows all over the southeast, and even land a spot on several festival lineups, most notably their recent appearance at Boogieman Festival in Charleston.

The group has been nothing short of determined to continue this growth, steadily working on creating Sun Child’s debut album, ‘Waves’, projected to release this upcoming spring. The first two singles from the album, ‘Floating’ and ‘Breathing’ were both released after Sun Child signed to Nashville-based label, Cloverdale Records. With a growing team of supporters, Sun Child is set to catapult their way into the hearts of indie folk fanatics everywhere with the release of this upcoming album.
