Payette is the solo project of Boise-based songwriter and producer Ryan Elliott. His fifth album Teal is inspired by the new shades created when two people’s colors blend together. It’s full of love songs with personal attachments, but with lyrics that can resonate with anyone. With his signature blend of indie pop, rock, and jazz, he navigates through the various stages of a relationship, from a simple crush at a party to something deeper. While blue and green create the record’s titular hue, the music invites the listener to examine their own relationships and the way you might interact with those you love.
