Past The Light is a four‑piece sludge‑crust band from Boise, Idaho. Formed in the Spring of 2025 with their most recent addition being Chad Remains of Ghorot. The original founding members are Jacob Depolitte, a key figure in the Salt Lake City music scene; Marco “Chubbs” Gonzalez, well known in Boise through multiple respectedbands; and Jason Brackin, a longtime drummer experienced in the San Francisco and New York scene. With a demo on the way, Past The Light is ready to push the Boise metal scene forward with their loud and filthy in your face tones. Though tuned low and loud, their songs will worm their way into your brain not to be soon forgotten.
