Marcy Midnight, founder of Ananda Yoga Space, believes yoga is the practice of embracing the flow of our true self, and affirming that we always have a choice to either reinforce our conditioning or transform, grow and be who we are born to be. Committed to empowering others with her intuitive, authentic teaching, Marcy offers creative vinyasa sequences, mantra, pranayama, focused intention, meditation and spontaneous movement to unite mind, body and spirit. Her vinyasa flow classes integrate breath with movement, form and flow, and strength with deep relaxation. Through intelligent sequences, self-inquiry, and intention setting, she cultivates a strong presence and guides students through a transformational experience in a safe and inclusive atmosphere. Her teaching is inspired and influenced by the many styles of yoga she’s trained and practiced in including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Tantra, Vinyasa, Prana Flow, Kundalini, Somatic Breathwork, Yoga and Social Justice. Her offerings are deeply rooted with her formal teachers and yoga philosophy, but her inspiration for theme and metaphor in the class setting comes from real life experience. In addition to weekly classes, she offers Yoga and Breathwork workshops and training; local and international retreats.
