King Pearl, formally known as Joshy Soul, is a character based on a King who has everything he thought wanted, but those very same things have made him feel even more lonely. From possessions, to knowing everyone in the streets, King Pearl finds out that he lacks one thing, to feel loved. Backed by a string quartet, King Pearl communicates those feelings through a dark songwriting style he calls, “Gothspel.” There will be tissue.
