Destiny Bond wants to live forever. Their latest album The Love (due out October 17 via Convulse) is built on themes of survival, resistance, and the immortality of love. Not a sanitized love, but the kind that sticks around even when things fall apart. A lot of the songs deal with raw introspection, conflict, identity, and grief, but they’re just as much about the larger systems we're all up against. The band sees these elements as connected. The lyrics don’t offer clean answers, but they don’t hold back either. It’s music that remembers what’s been lost, what we're fighting for, and what's worth protecting. Their debut album Be My Vengeance received praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, and BrooklynVegan, notable traction for a band that came together in DIY punk and hardcore. The live shows belong to more than the band. They are loud, raw, and communal. Destiny Bond played over 100 shows in 2024, and has toured with Glare, Baroness, Gel and more. There’s aggression in the music, but it’s driven by care, not just anger. For them, playing hard and being honest is a way to create space, for themselves and for anyone else who needs it.
