Formed in 1993 in the High Desert of California, this influential melodic punk rock band was a driving force in the local punk scene throughout the 1990s. Known for their energetic performances and catchy, melodic sound, the band quickly gained traction in the Southern California punk community. The original lineup featured Pat O’Connor (Bass), Chris Sullivan (Guitar), Chris Pawling (Drums/ Vocals), Kris Reilly (Lead Vocals/ Guitar), and Brand Inman (Vocals/Guitar). Over the years, certain members left or were replaced by subsequent members Nathan Konda and Ben Knight.
The band released two full-length albums: Hulaville and Westward Ho!, which became staples for their fanbase and showcased their unique blend of melodic punk and SoCal grit. They were also featured on the popular Fearless Flush Sampler compilation, and put out a 7″ vinyl release titled Good Ol’ Boys. These records helped cement their reputation in the punk scene and gained them recognition beyond their local root
During their active years, the band toured with notable acts like Face to Face, and played countless shows with punk rock heavyweights including Sublime, The Vandals, DI, Guttermouth, Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Skeletones, and more. Their connections with these bands allowed them to play with a wide variety of styles, ranging from ska to hardcore, expanding their fanbase and solidifying their status as a dynamic presence in the punk world.
Despite their growing popularity, the band disbanded in 1999, leaving behind a legacy of spirited performances and unforgettable tracks. Their influence on the Southern California punk scene, especially in the High Desert, continues to be felt, and their music remains cherished by fans of 90s punk rock.

Bridge The Gap is a group of friends who’ve been making music together since the 1990s. After putting their instruments down for a time to start families & pursue careers outside of music, the guys rekindled their connections around 2020. Vocalist/guitarist Chad Jensen went on a demoing binge with songs he’d been stockpiling during the intervening years, & when the other band members – former lead guitarist Jeff Andrews, bassist/vocalist Shon Foster and drummer/vocalist Ryan Thompson – heard them, everyone was inspired to start something anew. Thus, Bridge The Gap was born.
The band reached out to Bill Stevenson (Descendents, ALL, Black Flag) to see if he’d be on board to produce their debut album, & soon found themselves at the legendary studio The Blasting Room.
‘Gainsayer’ has received very positive reviews since its release, including Punk Rock Radar, Dying Scene, Punk Rock Theory, Punktuation Magazine, & Rokvolution Magazine.
