Why You Should See Alex Cameron and Babe Rainbow in Boise on the Same Night
Ever since Tuesday’s Amyl and the Sniffers headbanger at The Knitting Factory, Boise got the taste of Vegemite and some serious punk rock! Now, as Monday approaches, we have two badass bands rolling through Boise — Alex Cameron (Sydney) who has played Treefort Music Fest a couple of times: at the Linen Building in 2015, an appearance in 2017 at Pollo Rey taco shop (now Diablo & Sons) on 8th St. and more recently a show at The Olympic in 2018. We’re so very thrilled to welcome him and his business associate Roy Malloy to the crowned stage at Neurolux, touring in support of his most recent album, Oxy Music, the follow up to his incredible 2019 release Miami Memory (watch the video below). Be sure to catch Sierra Leone-Irish singer Loah opening the show!
Simultaneously, and not on tour together, Australian ‘60s-esque psych-pop rockers Babe Rainbow (Byron Bay) are stopping in Boise on the same night, bringing their stoner pop to The Olympic in support of their new album The Organic Band that drops on Friday, 10/14/22. Be sure to wear your dancin’ shoes cause their French 60’s pop disco beats will get you groovin’ and make sure you get to taste the waves of seventies tuberide — a new project from surfer, singer, guitarist, artist, filmmaker, and photographer, Alex Knost (who btw released a genderless collection of apparel and footwear with Vans, along with Lee-Ann Curren earlier this year)!
