After two decades of critically acclaimed and fan-adored releases, Unwed Sailor has become a fixture within the indie rock/shoegaze pop landscape.
Unwed Sailor’s latest album “Mute The Charm” functions as a notable checkpoint in their continuous progress in blurring the lines between post and pop rock. At its core, it is a pop rock record with chiming guitars, melodic bass, and rock solid drums – more aligned with the accessible sides of artist influences ranging from The Sundays, Joy Division, and The Stone Roses to Led Zeppelin, Lungfish, and 90’s indie rock band, Seam.
“I want to transcend the barrier that being an instrumental band with no vocals can sometimes bring between the artist and the listener,” says Ford. “When I sit down to write a song, I’m not writing a post-rock song, I’m writing a pop song. I’m singing through my bass lines. The bass is my voice and the notes are my lyrics. My goal is to inspire all music fans, not just post rock fans.”
Rediviva
A band from Boise ID – Rediviva is latin for the flower known as Bitterroot. It means “reborn” or “revive” refering to its ability to regenerate from dry and dead roots. Adam Gates (Guitar, Vocals), Matt Perkins (Bass,Vocals) and Andrew Davis (Drums).
Larkspur
Based out of Boise, ID//Portland, OR, LARKSPUR is an experimental post-metal band whose sound is as dynamic and diverse as the forces of Nature themselves. The band’s unique style of heavy, instrumental music brings together raw elements of various sub-genres of metal, post-rock, and traditional folk music, and crafts them into something greater than the mere sum of their parts. Atmospheric moments of melodic tranquility are interwoven with thunderous sequences of primal vigor in a sonic landscape where brooding melancholy coexists alongside triumphant awe. The result of this alchemy is Larkspur’s uncanny ability to take listeners on epic journeys which conjure immersive scenes of traversing rugged wilderness, sweeping plains, towering forests, vast cloud-filled skies, and the primeval forces which inhabit and animate those environments. The band will be heading into the studio to record their first full-length album in October 2025.
