Husbands

Husbands

Husbands knows the galvanizing power of an anthemic, hair-raising song. As the co-founding songwriter behind the Oklahoma City indie rock outfit Husbands, Danny Davis has been meticulously crafting emotionally potent tunes about finding your place in the world. His writing always strives to break free from monotony and routine, aiming for meaning and clarity through massive choruses and colorful arrangements. CUATRO, Husbands’ adventurous and triumphant fourth album out Oct. 13 via Cowboy 2.0 and Thirty Tigers,  marks a turning point for the band. It’s the first LP written after the departure of longtime bandmate and collaborator, Wil Norton. It’s also an album that Davis made during a time of relative personal stability after quitting his nine-to-five and moving with his wife to Costa Rica. Across 11 arena-filling and richly-produced tracks, the full-length is a document of his growth as a human being and a testament to finding peace in relationships evolving.

Plum Vision

If you’re looking for a band that will make you want to dance, cry, and call your ex, you’ll want to see Plum Vision. Created in Boise, ID through mutual friends and craigslist ads, this trio combines melodic soft rock and good ol’ fashioned riot girl punk. Plum Vision recently kicked off Boise’s first ever Flipside Fest in Garden City, ID and their music can often be heard on Radio Boise. Somewhere between Veruca Salt, Wet Leg, and Pretty sick, Plum Vision has a song for everyone.
Hudson Powder Company

Hudson Powder Company

Hudson Powder Company was formed in 2023, when our frontman Cooper Lowry returned home to the Treasure Valley after an extended period of time “roughing it” in Western Montana. Searching for a backing band, Mr. Lowry wisely recruited Alexis Galvan (drums; percussion), Ricky Jones (bass guitar; backing vocals), and Doug Rudeen (guitar). What do we sound like? Well imagine a goth rock band or a post-rock band had …carnal relations…with a country/americana/”red dirt” band, and their offspring somehow managed to create music that was actually ✨good✨. You might not expect this to happen in real life (that would be a reasonable expectation). However, this is the essence of what Hudson Powder Company is. I guess what we’re really trying to do is create a sort of sound that’s somehow uniquely Idahoan or unique to the Inland Northwest. We feel that there isn’t really a genre of music that’s endemic to this area and we’d like to try and change that in some way. Whether we do that or not doesn’t really matter, it’s interesting to try.
