“Somewhere between Elliott Smith, Paul Simon and the DIY punk scene that’s formed over the last twenty years-that’s where you’ll find Frankie Tillo’s music. An EP of 4 songs is released in May 2020 via Earth Libraries.” KIN and Duck Club welcome Frankie Tillo to the piKINic. Check-in begins at 5:15 pm with the show commencing at 6. The majority of the available seats will be on our grassy hillside “amphitheater,” with priority for patio seating given to those with accessibility needs. Blankets are encouraged if you haven’t specifically requested the patio. Low-back chairs are allowed in the grass, but may not be usable in some of the steeper spots. Your ticket includes a three-course meal for one (with snack), a cocktail, a large bottle of water, tax, and gratuity. Due to the nature of our meal preparation, we can and will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, but there may be an additional cost depending on the specific needs of the dinner. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Wend

Wend

Wend began as the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Riley Johnson, with a harp and vocals ran through an array of effects pedals to create a spacious, ethereal psychedelic backdrop. From that starting point it has grown into a full 8 piece ensemble, a combination of a rock band and a string quartet. For this Kin show, WEND will be performing in all its current iterations, from an ambient two piece to a string quartet centric 6 piece to the full 8 person ensemble, with music ranging from collaboratively written psych-prog rock to Johnson’s own emotionally orchestrated compositions, and of course the hypnotic lullabies for which the band is known best. As one YouTube user said, “I feel like I just dropped acid at a Renaissance Fair”
