Hailing from the New York burbs, Ben Beal is a versatile lyricist and hip-hop artist who showcases his talent across multiple styles of production, from the laid-back vibes of Lo-Fi to the hard-hitting beats of 808-infused trap. Starting out his musical journey by digging through dusty old jazz records in the bargain bin, Beal found his muse in the crackle and pop of those forgotten gems, transforming them into hip-hop gold. Not only has he collaborated on songs with names such as Mick Jenkins, sophie meiers, and atlas, but he continues to work with some of the most unique producers around the globe including SwuM, FloFilz, Wun Two, Biskwiq, and Beatboxbandit. He recently graduated from the University of Maryland where he recorded and performed at various locations across the DMV. Beal has performed with A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, MadeinTYO, 24hrs, PnB Rock, and many more in Maryland and Washington DC.
