The Abortion Diaries is a stage production of Idaho residents’ personal stories of reproductive agency.
Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm
The Pro-Voice Project is partnering with the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on The Abortion Diaries, a stage production of Idaho residents’ personal stories of reproductive agency. The performance will bring the subject of abortion out of the realm of shadow and illuminate the myriad ways in which this decision touches people’s lives. It will also address the fallout from Idaho’s restrictive and punitive abortion laws and provide context for the history and future of the fight for reproductive justice.
The stage production will be followed by a discussion & Q & A facilitated by state Senator Melissa Wintrow (D19)
The show is free to the public but tickets are required through our event registration page. Donations to help us off-set costs are welcome. All additional proceeds will go to Idaho Abortion Rights to further its work supporting Idahoans in reproductive health access, abortion justice and abortion rights.
The Pro-Voice Project is a North Idaho-based organization dedicated to promoting empathy and education related to abortion and its role as an essential pillar of reproductive healthcare. We utilize storytelling and community building to drive action for reproductive agency, autonomy, and access to care. We believe that, if we generate an understanding of abortion on a human and legal level, we can change the conversation and, eventually, the laws.
