Jaguar Sun is the solo project of Canadian multi-instrumentalist Chris Minielly. Brought to life in the small SouthernOntario town of Elmira, Chris took inspirations such as Big Thief, Goth Babe, Beach Fossils, Frightened Rabbit andYouthLagoon and dove into producing music of his own. Now residing in Toronto Chris continues to record andproduce from his DIY home studio treading his own line between Dream Pop, Rock, and Folk.
Kurt Travis
Kurt Travis is an American singer and songwriter celebrated for his emotive vocals and genre-blending approach to post-hardcore and experimental rock. Since beginning his career in 2001, he has fronted notable bands including Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds, Royal Coda, and Gold Necklace, while also releasing several solo records that showcase a more melodic, atmospheric side of his writing. His solo albums, such as Everything Is Beautiful and There’s a Place I Want to Take You, highlight his shift toward dreamy, textured arrangements that contrast with the heavier edge of his band work. Known for constant evolution and collaboration, Travis remains an influential figure in the modern post-hardcore scene and continues to tour extensively across the United States. Most recently, he announced that he has signed with Born Losers Records, marking the beginning of a new chapter for his solo releases with the independent label.
Payette
Payette is the alias of Boise-based Producer, Songwriter, and Multi-instrumentalist Ryan Elliott, who began honing his craft through DIY recordings in 2018. Featuring a warm voice and a unique blend of pop, rock, psychedelia, and soul, his songs push the fluidity of genre into exciting new territories. With introspective lyrics surrounding the nature of life and love in the confusing modern age, the music invites you to hold on to the good in your world. Common sounds include layered synthesisers, crunchy guitars, and slick bass grooves. What started as a solo project has begun to expand into a more collaborative process with friends, although just as homebrewed as ever. Now featuring a full band for live performances, their sonic concoctions are taking on a life all their own on stage.
