Marshall Poole will debut their album as “Totems”, careening the belief of inner spirits. For the members of Marshall Poole, Totems was created in order to deal with some of their inner demons. “It’s gonna be pretty dark,” says bassist/vocalist Melanie Radford. “We went through a lot of personal turmoils this last spring and summer so we’re releasing something angrier, weirder, and much heavier this time.” The album recalls estrangement, fear, anger, and loss, wrapped in a fast, psych-rock hurricane.
Recorded at Tonic Room Studios, Totems poses as a new sound for Marshall Poole. From small-town Caldwell Idaho, the trio has held their own in the growing Boise music scene, but Totems may be a new directional pull for rock n roll in Boise.
